It’s official – We ROCK! This week we found a fun rock group. {said playing air guitar}
Monday dentist turned into planning teeth extraction for braces. Lots of X-rays. But nothing makes you feel like a complete worthless mom than hearing a lecture on the importance of flossing. Because your kid does not floss. At all. Because he told the dentist so!
We enjoyed another Spanish Class with friends and then discovered our little town’s rock exchange group.
So naturally we … and by ‘we’ I totally mean more so ‘I’ ... had to rush home to paint rocks immediately.
Tuesday Hubs had surgery on his hand (thumb joint arthritis fusion), so my oldest missed classes to watch his brother. He wasn’t thrilled but would rather sleep in any day of the week. Definitely a perk of homeschool!
I snuck away with the youngest at lunch so he could hide our painted rocks and find 3 others. We enjoyed a picnic by a large fountain listening to a talented gal play violin. It was the perfect lunch date.
I shared more about dates and Desserts this week! Read QTM Tip: Dessert
Our Connect Homeschool group had planned an interesting field trip to the Police Aviation Unit for a Wednesday tour. Since I wasn’t sure how Hubs would wake (and his dr. said not to leave him alone for 24 hrs post-op) the boys caught a ride with a friend and attended without me.
Being a homeschool mom is fun for me too. I experience a second education and learn about many interesting things I didn’t learn at their age. My love for history grew long after my boring history classes.
Thursday’s Geography class covered more about Asia. The craft was Tissue Paper Cherry Blossom Trees. I’ll share that “diy tutorial” soon.
Friday we were invited over to a friend’s house to paint rocks ~ because we rock!
