I am having a hard time believing that Thanksgiving has come and gone. Where has this year gone? I’m glad we had one thankful week for our weekly wrap up!
We started strong this week with our crafts and knocking out some projects I have been putting on the back burner.
The ocean diorama for Marine Biology turned out great. Even if my son went more minimalist. He didn’t want to overwhelm and overpopulate the diorama.
We worked on our Tom the Turkey disguises. This was so funny!
Hubs wasn’t crazy excited to take some time from a project, but of course he came through with such a creative Top Gun Turkey disguise! This is just another thing I did with my oldest and not the youngest. I’m finding more and more of those things lately. (guilt typing now)
Tuesday morning was a real treat! I had breakfast with another homeschool mom friend. I was happy catching up and swapping stories of life with teenage boys. I’m so glad we can laugh about it together. I really think homeschool moms need a support group – not just a Facebook Group – by real face-to-face interaction to help encourage one another. Later that afternoon I took the oldest to see Justice League while the youngest went to a friend’s house to play.
The boys started their garage band. I’m just glad it’s outside!
Wednesday I turned up a little stuffy and my sinuses were aching so we just finished our turkeys and kept it real low key on the couch. Most people take off schooling for Thanksgiving Break, and I felt fine to take off since we started our school year a month early in July.
It was a treat to have my youngest read to me in bed.
He has such a tender heart! Looking forward to a regular schedule and on to Christmas. We’re not going skiing in Colorado this year, but I just love how everything transforms this time of year.
