Spring Activities when you’re stuck inside!

Spring has sprung and the last thing we want to do is sit inside! So take these Spring Activities outside and enjoy the fresh air or enjoy the Spring Activities when you’re stuck inside.

I truly believe Spring is one of the best times to go on nature walks and learn about science. Zoology and botany really are on display in the spring. Many of my friends in the northeast can’t wait to get outside after a long cold winter. Be sure to plan all those fun outdoor activities for the spring.

I have such sweet memories of our very first garden. We can laugh now about those army worms that destroyed our tomatoes. But what great science lessons we enjoyed outside wrapping the entire semester around spring time. The boys want to stay outside, we eat lunch outside, read outside, and try to do our other school lessons on the table outside!

Spring Activities

But what about those spring showers? If you’re stuck inside I have some Spring Activities that just might pass the time. Click on each link to print a worksheet. Each worksheet offers plenty of space to create new words from the original word at the top of the sheet. Or print the butterfly worksheets and jot down information you have learned from a reference book or science video.

ANIMAL – create new words from the original word, Animal.

BUTTERFLY create new words from the original word, Butterfly.

Butterfly Facts – learn more about these beautiful insects and share what you’ve learned.

Butterfly Short Story – write a short story about a butterfly.

EARTH DAY create new words from the original word, Earth Day.

Check our our 5 Earth Day Activities for Busy Moms.

LADY BUG  – create new words from the original word, Lady Bug.

WEATHER  – create new words from the original word, Weather.

Print this Science Experiment Worksheet to document all your wonderful Spring Science Experiments!
