Ready for Christmas

It’s hard to get ready for Christmas when it’s just about 80* every day! (whine) Since we’re not going skiing this year, I have a long while before we get to cooler weather in Florida.

We did the only sane thing you can do when it’s still too warm for Christmas … We went to Universal Studios!

Universal

I love their Christmas decorations in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter! This is not our first time having annual passes, but it is our first time seeing the newer parade! The ‘floats’ were awesome!! My youngest was so happy to see Secret Life of Pets and I was happy to see more Minions! We timed it just right before the black out dates.

Otherwise this week my 4th grader is enjoying Christmas Break while my 9th grade has a lighter schedule. He did poorly in Biology and English this semester, so I’m making him work through the break. Only subjects with good grades can afford to take a holiday break.

Christmas wrap up

We Christmas baked our hearts out making neighbors’ gifts. Fudge! Worked our bodies out, mostly because Hubs is going to a new cross fit gym and I was feeling like a loser.

I gutted out our old Homeschool books since my bookshelf nearly collapsed. It was super hard for me to part with the stuff but overly necessary. And we ate pretty healthy too this week. My favorite is always a Poke Bowl, but I made a ‘salad bar, and was pretty impressed with myself.

I signed the 4th grader up for next semester art & theater classes at his old Homeschool Co-op where he attended K, 1st & 3rd. He is happy to be heading back and I’m happy his love for plays continues.

Other than last minute shopping … We are looking forward to a quiet Christmas.
