Free Proverbs Bible Study Packs for Kids
I absolutely love how clear and visual Proverbs paints good and bad character. You can literally see character as black and white, this or that. I think parents need more resources to help children see the valuable wisdom in Proverbs. To help my visual learners wade around in the Proverbs pool of wisdom I created these Proverbs Bible Study Packs. Here is what they look like!
Each Pack is different. They offer blank spaces for drawings with a few helpful pics along the way. As well as lines to write out verses. As a homeschool mom we can harp on education, facts, memorization, test scores, etc. I’ve learned it’s far more important to focus on character growth.

Proverbs Bible Study for Kids Pack 1 Chapters: 10-20
These drawing opportunities allow my boys time to stop and think about character qualities.
How would a destroyed house look?
What does wisdom look like?
Can you visualize a sluggard? The fool who is quick to quarrel ? A happy heart? Dry bones? The imagery in Proverbs is like no other! And perfect for teaching young children!
Seeing these contrasts side-by-side is a great learning lesson. Take advantage of it. One verse at a time.
Proverbs Bible Study for Kids, Pack 1
I created 11 contrasts with images to help inspire discussion, creativity, and drawing. This is an opportunity for children to look up the verses themselves and then write them out. Print the blank page as many times as you need it! I would not recommend printing all the image pages – since it would require a lot of ink. I try to make my freebies as printer friendly as possible.
Proverbs Bible Study for Kids, Pack 1 – one Proverb for Chapters: 10-20.
How this looked in our home:
We read the entire chapter together, but slowly.
We focused on the one verse “assigned” on the sheet. ex. Provbers 17:22
We read the verse together again. Slowly.
We talked about the imagery. What does it look like to them? Each child will have a different answer and that is fantastic! This is not a one answer is the right answer.
We wrote the one verse out.
I encouraged them to draw two different contrasting pictures. This is magic for the visual learner!
Use the animated pictures – as a starting point or at the end. Please remember, It is not a teacher’s guide!! There is no “right” or “wrong” drawing. The images of handcuffs for punishment might be completely different than a child’s time-out corner. Or no tv. Or eating veggies for dinner (ask my zucchini hating youngest).
My heart & pulse line for life might be a flower for your learner or the sun. The pictures provided are to help inspire drawing and to help show opposites! Not the answer key.
My boys have filled up the boxes full rather than pick one “symbol”. Again – the pictures are not a teacher’s guide. Your children should include far more details!

These verses are from the NIV translation. If you use another translation in your home please continue to do so! These one verse sheets are not substitutes for reading the entire chapter. It’s just the one verse I picked out to display character qualities found in Proverbs.
Proverbs Bible Study for Kids Pack 2 Chapters 10-22
13 Verses from Chapters 10-22, rather than contrasting – draw the picture described. This pack provides the verse but not the images (to save on printer ink).
Pack 2 is not about “contrasts”, but simply drawing the image. This is easier for children who do not feel creative or hate feeling put on the spot to create their own thing. The verse is provided, NIV Translation. You can always write your preferred translation below or on the back!

Proverbs Chapter 10 Bible Study for Kids
This is my biggest pack – 32 verses! Space for writing, definitions; a contrast imagery study! Only a few images provided, mostly blank pages – all packs were created to be printer friendly!
I hope you enjoy these “Proverbs Practices“. They have been a great help for my visual learners. However the discussion time and reading together filled the place of our Morning Quiet Time and were a benefit to my auditory learner. Some days we even acted out the verses. We have laughed over their choices and sketches. We have “hugged it out” when the reading lead to conviction. We have prayed harder as we can see the clear opposite of what God wants for our lives. Proverbs is a great study for any age – these packs hopefully will help younger children.
