It’s easy to find a Turkey Craft to enjoy leading up to Thanksgiving. The challenge is to find fall colors in your craft supplies.
This week I realized all of our fall colors were used on our fall leaf gratitude tradition. So our paper bag turkey got stuck with some interesting colors.
This is a simple craft I was not going to share on the blog. Yet I felt the importance of stressing the fun, quality time, and laughter over perfect fall construction paper feathers!
I cannot count the number of times I have gotten twisted up, turned inside out, and frustrated to anger when something so simple trips me up. The craft fairy godmother showed up, looked at my slim supplies, and told me to make the darn Turkey Craft anyway!!
Turkey Craft
What We Used:
Paper Bag
Construction Paper Feathers – ANY COLOR!!
White Construction Paper Eyes & Black Construction Paper Pupils
Orange Construction Paper Beak (I found a scrap!!)
Glue Stick
Crafts are much more enjoyable when we remove unnecessary stress!
Arrange the feathers and glue them to the back of the bag. Tada! Again – if you’re looking for perfection you might turn a bit sour. You don’t have to compare your children’s crafts with others online. Enjoy using what you have and press on toward some laughter!!
