We’ve done a lot for Earth Day over the years. From chalking the front sidewalk to bring awareness, picking up trash on our nature walks, reading Journey to the Center of the Earth, or drawing Calvin & Hobbes under a Colorado Aspen … Earth Day just isn’t as exciting with teens as it was with littles. And I’m learning that a lot this time around with my youngest, a sophomore. Because when my oldest was too cool … the youngest was still willing. There is no more willingness in the Layton Home.
So, rubbing palms together in an evil scientist type of way, we will assign poetry! Because nothing screams an unhappy sophomore than more poetry reading!
Nothing Gold Can Stay Worksheet
Enjoy this printable of the poem by Robert Frost as well as some thoughtful questions. I did memorize this poem in my 10th grade English class – so really, it’s only fair!
Earth Day Printables
If you are looking for 8 Earth Day Printables – because you still have fun little ones who absolutely love all things mom cool … you can still print them out! Or read Journey to the Center of the Earth & fill out the book review. Personally, I’d love to bake some sugar cookies & decorate them in Earth colors. Oh wait, a 10th grader is suddenly interested in Earth Day.
