I have provided many resources on my blog for most subjects. I’m most attached to the bible resources for kids to study, sketch, and discuss the word. I believe Oh Amanda opened my eyes to the beauty of sharing truth with kids in a creative way when she created Truth In the Tinsel.
I feel it’s SO important to speak to our children about what they read, the cultural differences of the bible and today’s time, words used, synonyms, and visual pictures the verses offer us.
New Testament Stories & Sketches
After pulling from Proverbs then moving to Parables, I’m now heading to New Testament Stories.
Since it’s Easter Weekend – I wanted to share the 2 I’ve worked on this week. The Death of Jesus & Resurrection.
Print one, print both – but definitely discuss the Cross with your children. As I’m mentioned many many many times – there is no “answer key”. The bible is your answer key.
Use whichever translation you normally use in your home.
Rewrite the verses you want to focus on – not necessarily every one I’ve shared.
Sketch what you think the verse means. My pictures are just a starting point to inspire thought.
Discuss, discuss, discuss !!! These are not worksheets for the sake of a Bible Notebook – no matter how much I love the 3-hole punch! They are conversation starters.
