I’ve read there will be 8 Must-See Night Sky Events this month. So naturally a homeschooler is going to take every opportunity to share some Outer Space themed fun!
This year in Challenge B (1st Semester) my 14yr old learned about many astronomers. I enjoyed his research and presentations. So I made the Astronomers Pack. These are the 14 Astronomers listed in the Challenge B curriculum.
Looking for younger outer space worksheets?
I created a few SPACE Worksheets during Classical Conversations Cycle 2, but anyone can use them when studying moon phases and planets!
Phases of the Moon (CC Cycle 2 Week 11)
Name & Describe the Planets (CC Cycle 2 Week 10)
Some Bodies in the Solar System (CC Cycle 2 Week 12)
Who Was Explorers – check out Who Was Sally Ride from the library and then print page 14 of our Explorers Pack!!
February is Out of this World Fun
Outer Space Language Arts Packs
I have enjoyed creating Language Arts Packs to help 3rd-5th graders practice language arts skills and the 8 Parts of Speech. We’ve been on a roll with these free themed packs – why not throw in Outer Space for our space loving friends this month!
Bring outer space into Language Arts! Like all of my other Language Arts Packs this Outer Space Pack helps students Practice Parts of Speech, Short Story Writing, and offers a Space Word Bank full of void, alien, and heavenly words to help every young writer compose a fearless short story.
Space & Art!
Print this Rocket Coloring Page for little ones! This rocket was sketched by my oldest son Jake, a former homeschool student! He also made cute little aliens to color for little ones. Not really the space education I’d recommend, but they sure are cute.
Real space learning art fun! We always loved adding chalk pastel art to science lessons. Add this Space Bundle to out of this world fun! Members get access to the companion curriculum.
