I have used Amanda Bennett’s Download N Go unit studies for years. My oldest enjoyed them when he was in 1st-4th grades. We absolutely loved sitting beside each other learning about such interesting topics!

Download N Go
From Volcanoes to Sharks … these have been fun informative unit studies. Also, I’m not gonna lie ~ I like taking a break from debating grammar rules for a week. Just me?
This year with my youngest, now in 5th grade, I’m introducing him to the longer 4 week Unit Studies. We’ve been working our way through Dogs, because he absolutely loves the four-legged friends! Dogs doesn’t “fit” in with any of our “homeschool subjects” but he’s still reading, learning, and interested in the great content.
Y’all that really is half the battle, isn’t it?! Finding something they like and want to learn about more. Teaching them that learning is not a Monday through Friday thing we do from nine to noon and never over the summers. But rather learning is a life long habit.
Tip: be intentional to incorporate their interests into their homeschool day. It’s a win-win for everyone.
What’s So Special About Download N Go?
It’s all in the name. You just download the unit study and … go! You can check out other books and do other crafts, but for the most part everything is just a click away in these 1 Week studies. Your tech savvy kids will be able to easily navigate the unit study better than you.
All the content you need is in the unit study itself. These little pdf treasures of information offer cute photos and black and white ‘worksheets’ you can print to fill in the answers. Links lead to videos, pictures, and other sites with more information.
Tip: If the idea of printing unit studies turns you away, try a different approach! You can always discuss answers and talk your way through each unit study. Only print the sheets you find worth printing, or print nothing! The choice is totally yours and does not change the quality of the content.
I also love that these Download N Go unit studies are really kid-friendly topics. What kid doesn’t love cookies, dolphins, insects, robots, and brains?!
UnitStudy.com offers a playground of choices. Every single study we’ve completed has led to fun activities my boys want to replicate on their own after “school”.
Weekly Specials
Having a great product is one thing, but having a great company is icing on the homeschool cake! UnitStudy.com offers Weekly Specials. Right on their site – you don’t have to wait for a magical sale date or some random wordy email blast that ends up in your Junk File. Simply click on the Weekly Specials tab at the top of the UnitStudy.com site and you’re saving Homeschool money.
Tip: Majority of the studies we did, I had purchased earlier during a weekly sale. That’s the beauty of these downloads! You can purchase something for next year or over even over the long summer/winter breaks. Which makes these units studies perfect for all students not just homeschoolers.
I’d recommend Download N Go unit studies to visual learners, tactile learners, and auditory learners since many studies provide videos to watch.
Tip: as you work your way through the unit study keep track of which day / page you are on. Unfortunately the links do not open in a new window so often times we had to hit the ‘back’ button & scroll our way down to the correct page. It’s a minor inconvenience.
Tip: Download the unit study to your idevice. Before iPad minis… We always downloaded an educational pdf to our desktop. Whenever we were out and about I always wished we could pull up the unit study. However now with technology being so amazing you can easily pull up your unit study where-ever. If you’re on a family vacation, picnic, field trip, or just a long car ride you always have easy access to these studies.
