Dear Homeschool Mom,

I wanted to write you this note and have a quick chat before you run off and plan another wonderful Homeschool thing.

Do Something For You

.

Do Something for You

Thats it! This year before you get all busy and dragging and wondering why no one appreciates you … Do something for you.

If it’s find a part time job. Volunteer. Get a lesson. Start a book club. Take a class. Become a season pass holder. Pick up a hobby … do something that has absolutely nothing to do with homeschooling. You are more than just a Homeschool mom.

Stef Layton

Don’t get me wrong. Homeschooling is great! But you were your own person before homeschooling. Be you again. Don’t loose her completely to glitter glue, laminating, and long division tears.

Homeschool will eventually end – you’ll have time to do so much more. But why wait ? We are not guaranteed tomorrow. Why not enjoy ‘your time’ a little now?? With some healthy boundaries and good planning you can do it. I wish I would have done it sooner! Rather than burn-out, throw a good old fashioned hissy fit, and complain!

As you plan out those Homeschool days Plan time for you to do something for yourself. It is not selfishness that is self care!
