Maybe the worst day to get sick is on Valentine’s Exchange Day. Thankfully we live less than 2 miles from the church so I ran up to drop off candy & pick up a bag of candy from friends.
Thankfully the sore throat disappeared that day so we watched DooLittle with our book/movie club friends Tuesday afternoon.
This is the first book for our little club of 6 families. We have decided we are skipping Call of the Wild next month with them and picking back up again in April for The Secret Garden.
Okay. Let’s get it out of the way. The movie was not as good as the book. Henry was incredibly disappointed. I don’t want to ruin anything – but if you’re watching because you’re in a book club with friends – it might have well been another book you never read. M’kay. I am very happy he read the book. And I love the Sherlock Holmes movies … but this just fell flat. That’s all I’ll say.
One of our CC friends invited us to her birthday party at Michael’s. I had no idea they do this – so it was great for my crafter!
Friday Valentine’s Day was a public school day off. So it was a LONG 4 day weekend w/ President’s Day on Monday.
we’re super bummed there is no CC. It seems we just got back from winter break. Being sick didn’t help.
We are looking forward to starting the Amanda Bennet ELECTIONS Unit Study next week.
We have completed so many Download N Go Unit Studies. It was a big part of my oldest’s Science Homeschool. I’m looking forward to this ELECTIONS study because I’m horrible at explaining politics.
