We have created MANY books reviews for young readers, however none purposely for Christmas reading. I decided to throw in 3 of my boys’ favorite stories around Christmas time.

Book Reviews are meant to offer students a space to share what they lived about the book, rather than addressing the typical Book Report topics (protagonist, theme, etc.). Book Reviews are more personal. My boys appreciated that there were no wrong answers because what they liked about a book might be different from what I liked about the book. More importantly, these reviews offered a 3-hole punch for the numerous books my boys consumed for Pizza Hut Rewards and book lists for End of Year Evaluations.

Some will debate Mr. Popper’s Penguins, but penguins just feel like a winter-ish animal, even though they slip & slide around all year. The Polar Express is a little younger for these book reviews compared to our other choices, but still a family favorite! Click on an image above to print your Book Review.
