I have had a fun time teaching my boys about bible stories, proverbs, and parables with the help of drawing out what these verses mean to us. Sketching greatly helps the visual learner. Here are a few packs you can download and incorporate during your quiet bible time.
Some packs are slightly different than others, but for the most part each page offers a bible verse, drawing to prompt conversation, blank writing page, and sketching box.
The pictures are provided to help kick off discussions.
The provided pictures are not an answer sheet or answer key – it’s what we thought these verses would “look like”. Please encourage your children to draw their own ideas! Discuss is important – don’t miss this important step in bible study. Some days we do a quick read and move on checking off bible study as being done for the day. Discussion really helps us see things from their perspective and some days leads to a huge peek into the situations they might be struggling with at that moment. Looking back – I wish I would have paid more attention to our discussions than prided myself on completing a full day of homeschool.

Parables Study with Sketches
As students start to mature they can discuss the Parables of Christ. These parables are such meaty teachings. Decide if you want to write the entire verse or just part. Draw what these parables might look like culturally, literally, or just figuratively. The most important part is to discuss the parables!
